Yoo Seung Ho to enter army

Yoo Seung Ho is going from being Korea’s “little brother” to Korea’s “military man”.

The actor’s agency revealed on December 20 that Yoo Seung Ho had decided to fulfill his mandatory military duties once filming for I Miss You ends.

The agency added that the actor has every desire to enlist into Korea’s regular army forces among the front lines and not among the ranks of the military’s media or entertainment side.

A spokesperson for his agency said, “Yoo Seung Ho has a strong belief and will that he is a Korean youth first and foremost before he is an actor and that he must carry out his duties with his peers.”

The actor, who turned 20 in Korea this year, was said to want to serve his military duties with others his age, as most Korean men choose to carry out their mandatory service duties shortly after high school or during university, unlike most male Korean celebrities who choose to delay their enlistment until they turn 29.

His agency added, “As I Miss You will be his final production before he enters his military duties, he will do his best to ensure the production will be a meaningful one for him as an actor.”

Yoo Seung Ho & Yeo Jin Goo compared: why noonas are falling for them

Yoo Seung Ho and Yeo Jin Goo, both actors have the noonas falling for them left and right.

On the December 9th installment of MBC’s ‘Section TV Entertainment Relay‘, the comparison of actors Yoo Seung Ho and Yeo Jin Goo was presented. Former child actor Yoo Seung Ho is now all grown up and current child actor Yeo Jin Goo is considered to be the best by many.

The reason for much of the attention on Yoo Seung Ho and Yeo Jin Goo was thanks to their amazing acting skills despite their young age. Both Yoo Seung Ho and Yeo Jin Goo debuted even before they started in grade school and were referred to as an ‘Acting prodigy’.

Both of the actors also played some memorable roles. Yoo Seung Ho played the role of the young King Sejong on the drama ‘The King and I’, who appeals to the Queen mother to avoid marrying someone against his wishes and on the drama ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun’, Yeo Jin Goo played the role of the Crown Prince Lee Hwon appealing to the King, his father, for the same reasons.

What’s also interesting is that Yoo Seung Ho and Yeo Jin Goo have both showed off some amazing dances on a CF for the same snack item.

There is also something else that draws attention about the actors. The rival character to Yeo Jin Goo’s character often grows up to become Yoo Seung Ho apparently. In both dramas ‘Warrior Baek Dong Soo’ and ‘I Miss You’, Yoo Seung Ho plays the adult role of Yeo Jin Goo’s rivals.

Yoo Seung Ho was not able to see his own movie ‘Blind’ because he was a minor and Yeo Jin Goo still hasn’t seen the movie ‘Frozen Flower’ for the same reason.

A child actors casting director commented about the two actors, “There is strength in their eyes, a stare that’s different from other young actors. Yeo Jin Goo’s accompanied by his mother and Yoo Seung Ho by his manager to the sets and both of them are taught great manners strictly. It could be a big reason why they have grown without losing the focus from the beginning. I believe that for 2 to 3 years, they will be the dominating presence.”
