Yoo Ah In Confirmed for “Jang Ok Jung, Live For Love” And Will Play Kim Tae Hee’s Lover

Actor Yoo Ah In has been chosen to work with Kim Tae Hee in an upcoming drama.

On January 4, inside sources revealed that Yoo Ah In joined the cast for the new SBS drama, “Jang Ok Jung, Live For Love.”

After Kim Tae Hee has been confirmed to play the main character, Jang Ok Jung, there has been much curiosity as to who the male lead would be. Yoo Ah In has reportedly received lovecalls from the drama production staff and has made his decision to join the cast on January 3. Yoo Ah In’s role as Suk Jong in the drama will be Kim Tae Hee’s lover.

Yoo Ah In has already made an impression in the acting world through his recent hit film, “Wandeugi” (or “Punch“), “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” and “Fashion King.”

Although Big Bang‘s TOP was also considered for the role, Yoo Ah In has been chosen in the end.

“Jang Ok Jung, Live For Love” will air after Kwon Sang Woo and Soo Ae‘s “Night King” in March.

Will Soo Ae, Kwon Sang Woo’s Chemistry Off-Set Carry Over on Screen?

As the leads of SBS’ upcoming Yawang, Soo Ae and Kwon Sang Woo are carrying much of the drama’s expectations but so far, the two are already gathering their share of praise from the drama’s staff.
New behind-the-scenes still cuts of Soo Ae and Kwon Sang Woo were released by the show’s producers on December 20 showing the two leads on the drama’s set.The two actors’ chemistry and commitment to the drama were evident with one picture showing them going over their lines even during meals.

Another cut showed Soo Ae laughing as Kwon Sang Woo humorously rehearsed a line in front of her.

According to staff on the set, the two are continuing to show remarkable chemistry together, while tirelessly rehearsing their lines in a seemingly endless fashion. Another added while it’s uncommon for male and female leads to grow close right off the bat, Kwon Sang Woo and Soo Ae have been proving otherwise as they joke around and are seen being friendly even when the cameras are off.

The two actors didn’t hold back their compliments for each other either with Soo Ae saying of her co-star, “My character is one I need to really focus on but [Kwon Sang Woo] goes so much out of the way for me that I’m very comfortable.”Kwon Sang Woo responded, “Her character is one I really must give my all to and I find myself being able to do that naturally.”

Yawang premieres in January on SBS.

Kwon Sang Woo, Soo Ae Film in the Poor Hillsides for ‘Yawang’

Kwon Sang Woo and Soo Ae recently completed filming scenes in the poor hillside areas of Seoul for their drama.

The two filmed outdoors in the poor village area of Seoul’s Jungneung-dong. The preview still cut showed the two carrying their possessions in boxes, suitcases and bags through the winding shantytown.

The upcoming SBS drama, Yawang stars Soo Ae as Da Hae, a woman from a poor background who deeply aspires to become the First Lady. Ha Ryu (Kwon Sang Woo), stars as the man who sacrifices everything for Da Hae.

The two also filmed a scene at the location at night where they overlook the city’s lights at night and promises their love to each other forever.

The drama’s production praised the two co-stars’ chemistry and promised fans were in for a treat when the drama begins airing.

Centered around themes of love, betrayal, desire and ambition, the new drama premieres on SBS in January.

Joo Won is the ‘Wink King’ in ‘7th Grade Civil Servant’

It’s not just guns Joo Won will be firing off in his new drama, but winks as well.MBC revealed new still cuts from the upcoming 7th Grade Civil Servant drama featuring lead actor, Joo Won.
Wearing a big pair of headphones over his head and casually dressed, Joo Won’s Gil Ro is seen in high spirits and strutting down the street as he fires off winks at a few girls.

The pictures reflect Joo Won’s character, who aspires to be like James Bond but also lives by the motto, ‘live life in a fun manner’.

The scenes were filmed in the Dongdaemun area of Seoul. Despite the frigid temperatures on the day of shooting, Joo Won cheerfully shot, and re-shot, his scene with the extras and finally successfully shooting the scene after a couple tries.

The drama’s production added, “The actors are being met with encouraging fans when they shoot in public which is acting as a big source of strength for us. The passion in this dr,ama is hot enough to melt away the cold temperatures and we will present to you a high-quality drama.”7th Grade Civil Servant premieres in January on MBC

Script Reading for Queen of Ambition

The scene of the script reading of SBS drama ‘Queen of Ambition‘ has been revealed, creating a buzz.

The casting of ‘Queen of Ambition’ was recently wrapped up with Kwon Sang Woo, Soo Ae, Jung Yunho (aka, TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho) among other actors and on December 6th, the first script reading took place at the SBS Drama Production Center in Ilsan. There were about 60 members of the drama in attendance including actors Kwon Sang Woo, Soo Ae, Jung Yunho, Go Joon Hee, Lee Duk Hwa, Kim Sung Ryung, and Cha Hwa Yeon, director Jo Young Kwang, and the staff members.

Kwon Sang Woo, who will be playing the male leading role, read in a caring voice that fit the character he will be playing perfectly, who is dedicated and pure in his love but was also witty with comic ad-lib. Soo Ae read the script in a collected voice but in the parts where the emotional threshold was crossed, her voice reflected the changes in emotion.

Jung Yunho really shined as well, reading the script naturally as if really having a conversation. Lee Duk Hwa brought laughter using his old hit phrase and saying, “Drama daebak, please.”

Director Jo Young Kwang shared, “I am happy about the great script and the great ensemble cast. Let’s create a great drama working together thinking that each one of us is the main character.”

‘Queen of Ambition’ is scheduled to premier in January.

Level 7 Civil Servant Holds First Script Reading

Looks like things are in progess. After many speculations and disagreemnts, we finally have
all cast together first scrip reading!

This will be Choi Kang Hee’s first drama after Protect the Boss while Joo Won will be back on the
screen  after his super hit Gaksital. This will also mark 2PM’s Changsun real debut in korean dramaland.

The drama is sloted for January 2013
